Dear applicants,

We welcome your applications to host a Parallel Event during the March 2023 NGO CSW67 Forum. Your application will be reviewed to determine the relationship of your proposed Parallel Event to the CSW67 priority and review themes and its relevance to advancing gender equality post-Forum. Please read the following important information in detail before submitting your application.

Important information and dates:

• Application fee: $125 USD
• Application opens: 14 October 2022
• Application deadline: 2 December 2022
• Acceptance and confirmation of event: 13 January 2023
• Deadline for schedule changes to your event: 27 February 2023

Scheduling:
The hybrid format of the Forum gives us an opportunity to welcome global activists and utilize our virtual platform for all 24 hours of the day. Therefore, virtual Parallel Events can be scheduled based on your time zone. When you apply, you will be able to choose your top two preferred date and time slots throughout the two-week period of the Forum. We will be able to change your date and time if need be, but we encourage you to keep your allotted time. All changes to your event’s schedule must be submitted by Monday, 27 February 2023.

Virtual Meeting Platforms for your Event:
Each Parallel Event organizer is responsible for providing their own virtual meeting platform for their event such as Zoom, Webex, Google Meet, etc. Your event will still be listed on the NGO CSW67 Forum Virtual Portal with a unique event page featuring a description of your event, a chat feature, the event organizers’ profiles, and any images, links, materials, videos, or documents that you’d like to share with Forum participants.

Using their own virtual meeting platforms will allow each organization to have more control over the preparation, set up, and technical capacities leading up to and during their event, such as setting up interpretation channels, meeting settings, and opening your green room earlier. When you apply, you must specify which virtual meeting platform you will be using for your event.

Event organizers are responsible for providing the link to register for/join your event on your own virtual meeting platform. The link will be listed on your event page on the NGO CSW67 Forum Virtual Portal. If you do not provide your event link by Monday, 27 February, your event will be removed from the Virtual Portal with no refund.

Helpful resources and informational materials for hosting an event securely and safely on different communication platforms will be sent to accepted Parallel Event organizers in January.

Refund and Payment Policy:
Parallel Event application fees are due at the time of application. If your event is not accepted, you will receive a full refund. We do not provide refunds for events that are cancelled by the organizers after acceptance.
